Collaborative Divorce Neutal Facilitator

Florida Family Court Mediator

Collaborative Divorce is a peaceful and structured approach to resolving divorce without litigation. This process involves a professional team, including a lawyer for each spouse and a neutral facilitator, who helps guide discussions and ensures that both parties make informed decisions about their future.

Collaborative divorce allows couples to retain control over their divorce and other family matters while keeping the process private. It promotes a cooperative approach to restructuring the family dynamic without the stress and conflict of court battles.

A Collaborative Neutral Facilitator is an impartial professional within the collaborative divorce process. Often serving as a team leader and communication specialist, this facilitator typically has expertise in family dynamics, child development, and conflict management. Their role is to foster productive discussions, support decision-making, and help both parties navigate the emotional and practical aspects of divorce.

Mediation is a private, confidential, and voluntary process in which a neutral third party helps individuals in conflict reach a mutually acceptable resolution—without the need for a lengthy and costly court battle. In many cases, courts require parties to attempt mediation before scheduling a hearing. Engaging fully in mediation allows both parties to maintain control over the outcome and explore creative, flexible solutions that may not be available through the legal system. Once an agreement is reached, it is incorporated into a court order, as outlined in Chapter 61.183, Florida Statutes.
